Was it worth the Sacrifice?

They sacrificed everything,
Their living, their life, their love
For a cause,
A cause believed by all
Across ages, across gender, across blood

With head held high…they walked
Miles unknown they walked…walked barefoot
All for a cause, they believed
A cause that gave us freedom

And we do everything, but sacrifice
In this fast paced life, changes everywhere
Not for a cause but for self
Leaving behind friends and life
But not for a cause.

It was an era worth dying
And to those who died
We making this era not even worth living…..
